COST-ET: COSTing and Exploring TCO for data centers

Overview

COST-ET is an estimation and exploration tool to provide qualitative trends of datacenter design choices (servers, racks configurations, etc.) on the total cost of ownership and the environmental impact.

This tool has been developed by Damien Hardy, Isidoros Sideris, Marios Kleanthous and Yiannakis Sazeides. The research leading to this tool is supported by the European Commission FP7 projects "Harnessing Performance Variability (Project No:612069 "HARPA") and "Energy-conscious 3D Server-on-Chip for Green Cloud Services (Project No:247779 "EuroCloud")”.
