IntraMEDnet

A Mediterranean Research and Higher Education Intranet in Medical and Biological Sciences. IntraMEDnet project was approved in the framework of t he Archimed 1st call of proposals in April 2006. Participating Institutions: University of Cyprus, Department of Computer Science (UCY), Lead Partner, Pafos General Hospital (Cyprus), Demokritus University of Thrace, School of Medicine (Greece), University of Patras, School of Medicine , Medical Physics Laboratory (Patras, Greece), UNIVERSITY OF NAPLES FEDERICO II, Department of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunication (Naples, Italy), ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI (Thessaloniki, Greece).

The Aim

The aim of IntraMEDnet project is the construction of a medical educational/research intranet between higher education & research institutions from Greece, Italy & Cyprus, to support the undergraduate educational program, graduate practice and residency and to promote research collaborations by:

  • dissemination of web-based lectures and seminars, covering advanced scientific topics and up-to-date technologies
  • promotion of research collaborations through web-based shared workspaces
